International Men’s Day is a time to celebrate the strength, character, and positive contributions of men who inspire those around them. At SeamlessHR, we’re proud of our incredible Seamstars, who excel in their professional roles and impact lives through mentorship, resilience, and leadership.

Here’s what some of them had to share when we asked about the men who inspire them and how they’re making a difference for the next generation. 

 

Ayo Lana – Head of Engineering

Who inspires you?

I draw inspiration from leaders who demonstrate vision, dedication, and integrity. Tony Elumelu, for his innovative leadership in business, and Wole Soyinka, for his intellectual brilliance, are particularly noteworthy.

What’s your most impactful memory?

Watching these icons turn challenges into opportunities taught me the value of resilience and collaboration. Tony Elumelu’s emphasis on leveraging innovation for scalable impact deeply resonates with my work in building systems that empower teams.

How are you inspiring the next generation?

As Head of Engineering, I focus on mentoring engineers emphasising technical excellence, teamwork, and problem-solving. I drive a culture of continuous learning by encouraging my team to embrace cutting-edge technologies and develop scalable, customer-centric solutions.

 

Fredrick Githendu – Sales Development Representative

Who inspires you?

My dad has been my biggest inspiration. I hope to embody even half of the wisdom and character he’s shown.

What’s your most impactful memory?

After high school, my dad told me, “The choices you make going forward will impact a generation.” That statement shaped my perspective and taught me the importance of making bold yet thoughtful decisions.

How are you inspiring the next generation?

I guide my 14-year-old nephew on navigating social media responsibly, ensuring he’s exposed to content that aligns with ethical, moral, and cultural values.

 

Lord Klukpui – Sales Development Representative

Who inspires you?

I am inspired by men who embody resilience, integrity, and selflessness. My late father instilled in me the value of hard work, while a former mentor taught me the importance of empathetic leadership.

What’s your most impactful memory?

My father’s unwavering discipline, even in tough times, showed me that success is rooted in persistence. My mentor’s advice, “Growth happens when you’re uncomfortable,” pushed me to embrace challenges and grow.

How are you inspiring the next generation?

I mentor young men by helping them develop resilience, navigate life with purpose, and build essential skills. I believe small, intentional acts of guidance can create a ripple effect of positive change.

 

Sabbath Ndifreke – Business Development Manager

Who inspires you?

My father remains my greatest inspiration.

What’s your most impactful memory?

Two moments stand out: when my dad reassured me after I had done my best but doubted my efforts, and when he told me he was proud of me—a rare but deeply affirming moment.

How are you inspiring the next generation?

I volunteer with the children’s department at my church, mentoring young people by sharing my life lessons and helping them own their paths with wisdom and confidence.

 

Ademola Alabi – Web Developer

Who inspires you?

Haruna Jalo-Waziri stands out for his exceptional business acumen and generosity in nurturing talent.

What’s your most impactful memory?

Haruna Jalo-Waziri hired me and not only guided my career growth but also cared about my family’s well-being. His mentorship has been life-changing.

How are you inspiring the next generation?

Thanks to SeamlessHR, I have the opportunity to mentor differently-abled individuals and justice-impacted individuals through the Codeable Mentorship Programme, helping them avoid mistakes on their chosen career paths and accelerate their growth. This structured approach allows me to give back meaningfully.

 

Lawrence Idems – Lead, Retention & Advocacy

Who inspires you?

Spiritually, Poju Oyemade and Creflor Dollar. Professionally, Jay Nathan and Prof. Jegzy Jegede. On relationships, my brother Mark Idems.

What’s your most impactful memory?

My brother inspired me with his advice to invest in property. His dedication to personal growth motivates me to keep striving.

How are you inspiring the next generation?

Through my radio show, I share insights and personal learnings. Additionally, I mentor children of widows through an NGO project and offer guidance as a trained therapist to those in need.
